On October 16, 2012 were announced winners of Swedish Business Awards 2012 for Latvia
On October 16, 2012 were announced winners of Swedish Business Awards 2012 for Latvia. Nomination Committee consisting of representatives from the Embassy of Sweden, Swedbank, Pasaules Dabas Fonds, Swedish Trade Council, Ragn-Sells Latvia, Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, and Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Latvia awarded the best companies in Latvia in categories of Sustainable Growth, Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative, Young Entrepreneur and Environmental award.
Opening speech were made by Mats Staffansson, Ambassador of Sweden to Latvia and by Latvian President Andris Berzins. Among the audience were also deputies of Gencs Valters Law Firm, member of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Latvia. The every year’s landmark for environmental aware businesses was framed by speech of Swedbank’s Head of Corporate Affairs, Thomas Backteman, on the Future of Banking and also by presence of Alexander Bard, renowned Swedish writer, speaking about the Life after Capitalism.
