Estonia signed a Double Taxation Avoidance Treaty with Cyprus
Estonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Urmas Paet and Cyprian Minister of Foreign Affairs Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis signed a Double Taxation Avoidance Treaty between Estonian and Cyprus on October 17, 2012.
Estonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Urmas Paet commented that the purpose of the double taxation avoidance treaties is to predispose investments, assure the equal treatment of people and eliminate double taxation that might arise as the concurrence of the legislation of both parties.
The treaty will need to be ratified by the Estonian Parliament and go through the internal proceedings in Cyprus to come into force. Currently no known date of enforcement is available.
